Earlier in this still very newish year two separate things added up to one simple idea.
Thing 1: In 2012 we have an extra day because of the leap year
Thing 2: The growth of the +1-concept

So: 1 + 1 = +1
29 February is an extra day we can use to make a bit of a difference. To do something nice. Something positive. Something good. Something funny. And so on.

It can be a relatively small thing, like a kind gesture to a stranger in the street. Hand out flowers, for example. It can be something nice, like volunteering somewhere. It can be something funny, like some sort of hilarious flashmob. It even can be bigger, but that’s not what it’s about.

It’s about adding your own personal +1 to the world around you. Doing something that will make someone else feel good. Why? Why not!!!

Let’s make the 29th of February a day full of extra, full of nice, full of good, full of kindness, full of fun and excitement. Just because deep inside we all like that. ‘Cause we’re human. ‘Cause we can!
